Our Story
We met at a langar seva during Gurpurab — Simran ladling dal, Jaskaran rolling rotis on the next mat, both of us pretending not to notice how easily the morning passed. By the time the sangat had eaten, we had somehow promised to come back the next week.
For two years Amritsar became ours: pre-dawn darshan at the Harmandir Sahib, kulchas on Lawrence Road, long walks along the Ram Bagh as the marigold sellers set up shop.
One Amrit-vela, watching the golden dome catch the first light, Jaskaran asked Simran to walk the laavan with him for a lifetime. She said haan before the ragis had finished the first shabad.
