Terms of Service

1.Acceptance and eligibility

inviteeq is operated as a sole proprietorship based in India. "We", "us" and "our" mean inviteeq; "you" means the person or organisation using the service.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the service for someone else (a couple, a family, an event business), you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.

2.Your account

• Give us accurate details and keep them current.
• Verify your email address. Until you do, the account cannot sign in. This is a deliberate gate, not a fault.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account; tell us at [email protected] straight away if you think it has been compromised.
• One account per person. Do not share logins, and do not create accounts to get around a limit, a suspension or a plan.

3.The service, plans and entitlements

inviteeq lets you build a digital wedding invitation from a theme, publish it at a link you choose, share it with guests, and collect RSVPs.

• Building and previewing are free. You can design a complete invitation and see exactly how it looks before paying anything.
• Paid plans unlock more: higher limits, additional themes and features, and removal of the inviteeq watermark. What each plan includes is shown on our Pricing page and enforced by your account's entitlements.
• Free invitations and free downloads carry a small {brand} credit. Removing it requires a paid plan.
• We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something material from a plan you have paid for, we will tell you and may, at our discretion, offer a pro-rata refund.

4.Payments, currency and taxes

• Prices are shown in your local market's currency where we support it, and include or add tax as stated at checkout.
• In India, payment is taken by Razorpay. Everywhere else, your purchase is sold to you by Polar, our reseller and merchant of record: Polar takes the payment, adds any sales tax, VAT or GST due where you live, and issues your receipt. By paying you also accept the provider's terms for that transaction. We never see or store your card or bank credentials.
• Access to a paid feature begins once payment is confirmed. If a payment later fails, is reversed or is charged back, we may suspend the affected features.
• We may change prices. A change never affects something you have already paid for.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5.Your content

Everything you put into an invitation (names, dates, your story, photos, music choices, guest lists) stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.

To run the service we need permission to use it, so you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and transmit your content, solely to operate and deliver the service to you and the people you share your invitation with. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already served or held in routine backups until they expire.

You confirm that you own your content or have permission to use it, including for any photographs (a photographer's images are usually licensed, not owned, so check before uploading) and for any music, fonts or artwork you supply.

6.Acceptable use

You must not use inviteeq to:

• Break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
• Impersonate a person or organisation, or publish an invitation for an event that is not real.
• Post content that is hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, or harmful to a person or group.
• Send unsolicited bulk messages. Guest emails and reminders exist to invite people to your event, not to market to a list.
• Upload malware, attempt to breach or overload the service, scrape it, or probe another account's data.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

7.Guest lists and RSVPs

When you add guests, you decide what is collected. In data-protection terms you are the controller of that data and we process it on your instructions. You confirm that:

• You have a proper basis for holding your guests' contact details and for sending them invitations and reminders through us.
• You will ask only for what your event needs, and will take particular care with anything sensitive, such as dietary requirements that reveal a religion or a health condition.
• You will answer your guests' questions about their own data, and forward to [email protected] anything you cannot handle yourself.
• You will delete guest data once the event is over and you no longer need it.

8.Our intellectual property

The service itself (the software, the themes and their designs, the sample and demo content, the inviteeq name and marks) belongs to us or our licensors. Using the service gives you a licence to use the themes within your own invitation, and nothing more. You may not copy, extract, resell or redistribute a theme, or use our name or marks without written permission.

9.Availability and warranties

We work hard to keep the service up, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups, but they are for our recovery, not a substitute for yours.

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under the consumer law of your country are unaffected by these terms.

11.Indemnity

You will cover us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your guest data, or your breach of these terms, for example a copyright claim over a photograph you uploaded.

12.Suspension and termination

• You can stop at any time by deleting your invitations or your account.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
• If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of anything you have paid.
• Termination does not affect anything that by its nature survives it: content licences already exercised, liability limits, indemnities, and governing law.

13.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK, or a US state, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of your own country or state, nor of the right to bring proceedings there where your local law gives you that right.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
